Billy Harper is unrivalled of a generation of Coltrane-influenced tenor saxophonists wHO really built upon the master's work, kind of than just now transcript it. Harper is consummately all-round, able-bodied to play convincingly in whatsoever setting, from bop to unloosen. His muscular tone, sylphlike crossroads, comprehensive harmonic cognition, and unflagging department of Energy define him as a saxophonist. Regarded as one of the world's premiere goth metal bands, Norway's Tristania give earned their repute through risk-taking creative thought, unquestionable endowment, and peradventure more than anything else, an impressive consistence from freeing to release. First coming together in 1996, Tristania took the uncommon footmark of showcasing trio split vocalists of wildly divergent styles to represent their lyrics, these being operatic soprano Vibeke Stene, clean-singing contralto Østen Bergøy, and harsh, black metal-style shrieker Morten Veland. The last in any case played guitar and composed nigh of Tristania's plushy, symphonically enhanced goth alloy, only as well counted on the help of lead guitarist Anders H. Hidle, keyboardist Einar Moen, bassist Rune Østerhus, and drummer Kenneth Olsson to reach it all reality.

Tristania's eponymic EP was released in 1997, and farther albums such as Widow's Weeds (1998) and Beyond the Veil (1999), as well as the Angina EP followed in quick taking over, and always through Austria's Napalm judge. All fared implausibly intimately across Europe, with Beyond the Veil in particular earning spout reviews, gaining them inroads into North and South America (where they take since toured extensively) and elevating Tristania to headliner status to rush. The band was dealt a potentially incapacitating blow, however, when Veland foregone to form a new band called Sirenia. Yet, they surprised cynical observers by immediately hiring new vocalist Kjetil Ingebrigtsen and rebounding in style via 2001's Man of Glass. A yearner hiatus followed but, after indulging in numerous side projects, Tristania reconvened in 2004 to record a new album called plainly Ashes, so released it through new label Steamhammer/SPV in January of the following year.

'Rambo' assaults rental shelves

But can't take sales crown from 'National Treasure' sequel

Lionsgate's "Rambo" was the top-performing new home video release for the week ending June 1, bowing at No. 1 on the national rental chart and No. 2 on the sales chart, behind holdover "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," from Disney.

"Rambo," the belated fourth installment in the Sylvester Stallone action franchise, also topped the Blu-ray Disc sales chart for the week, with the new "Rambo Trilogy," also from Lionsgate, debuting at No. 3. "Treasure," which came in at No. 1 the previous week, slipped to No. 2.

On the overall sales chart, from Nielsen VideoScan First Alert, action once again dominated. "Treasure" and "Rambo" were followed by "The Adventures of Indiana Jones" trilogy, from Paramount, at No. 3 and "Raiders of the Lost Ark" at No. 4.

Rounding out the First Alert top 5 was the Fox comedy "27 Dresses," starring Katherine Heigl.

In rental stores, "Rambo" generated an estimated $8.6 million, or 20% of its theatrical gross of $42.8 million, to take the top spot on Home Media Magazine's rental chart for the week.

"Treasure," the top renter the previous week, generated an additional $7.2 million to capture the No. 2 spot, while the Anchor Bay comedy "Mad Money" exhibited strong staying power to come in at No. 3 with $5 million, even though it's been out for three weeks.

50 Cent Blasts Young Buck's Royalty Allegations

50 CENT has hit out at former G-UNIT rapper YOUNG BUCK's allegations that he has "never seen a royalty check" from his time with the star's record label - insisting he was generously "overpaid" throughout his time with the hip hop troop.
The In Da Club hitmaker axed the rapper - real name David Darnell Brown - after he spoke out about dissent in the G-Unit camp, telling America's Yo! Raps Magazine he has failed to receive any royalties owed to him since signing with 50's G-Unit Records.
The claims were initially blasted by the star's manager Sha Money XL, who states the quotes were false, insisting G-Unit has paid Young Buck $10 million (GBP5 million) to date.
And 50 - real name Curtis Jackson III - also refutes the allegations, stating it was Brown's "drug dealer" lifestyle which left him broke - claiming he had to bail the star out of "tax trouble" on numerous occasions.
He says, "That (the allegations) was a shocker from Young Buck. The last thing that I felt would ever be even said would be that (the members of G-Unit) weren't paid because they actually were overpaid.
"He lives like a drug dealer. When the artist spends excessively to the point where he doesn't actually have that money anymore, out of desperation he says whatever he can say to try and fix situations.
"No, I never took a royalty check to recoup for anything. Yeah, he had tax trouble. I helped him like I helped everybody else.
"With Buck there was points where it was up to $330,000 that I had loaned out to him (and) he continued to spend the way that he would regularly spend."

John Cleese - Cleese Denies Morgan Coltrane Fight

British actor JOHN CLEESE has denied seeing AMERICA'S GOT TALENT judge PIERS MORGAN fighting with HARRY POTTER star ROBBIE COLTRANE while they all dined at a famed London restaurant.

Morgan and Coltrane - who plays Hagrid in the hit movie franchise - were reported to have nearly come to blows during a recent incident at the Ivy eaterie, after Morgan allegedly heard the actor call him an "arsehole".

An onlooker tells British newspaper the Daily Star, "Piers was red-faced with anger and snarled at Robbie, 'If you've got something to say to me, say it to my face.'

"It was all a little undignified but Piers didn't start it."

The reality TV judge's verbal outburst is said to have stunned diners, including Faulty Towers star Cleese.

But a representative for the actor has dismissed reports he saw an altercation between the two men, saying, "He didn't witness a row of any kind, although he did chat with Robbie."

Amy's husband furious over holiday with ex?

Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil is said to be furious after the singer was reported to have spent the New Year celebrations with her ex-boyfriend.
According to the Daily Star, Winehouse jetted off to the Caribbean island of Mustique as a guest of singer Bryan Adams, but spent the duration with her ex, George Roberts.
Fielder-Civil, who is currently being held on remand at London's Pentonville Prison, is allegedly hugely upset over the news.

Aniston to move closer to boyfriend?

Former 'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston is reportedly set to move from Los Angeles to New York in order to be closer to her new boyfriend, 'Sex and the City' star Jason Lewis.
According to the Daily Star, a source close to the actress suggested that a move may be on the cards.
The source said: '"When she came back from Los Cabos after ringing in the New Year with Jason, she looked happier than I've seen her for months."
"She's been thinking of a switch to the east coast for a while and, now she's with Jason who is based there, she feels the time has never been more right to make the break from the claustrophobia in LA."

Jennifer Aniston's hair 'most envied' by women

Women envy Jennifer Aniston's hair more than any other celebrity, according to a recent survey.
In a poll of 1,600 people commissioned by Hair magazine, it was found that Aniston's hair is the most coveted followed by Catherine Zeta-Jones, Cat Deeley, Penelope Cruz, Angelina Jolie, Natalie Imbruglia, Victoria Beckham, Nicole Kidman, Sharon Stone and Sienna Miller.
The survey also named 'the bob' - as popularised by Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes - as the "most iconic haircut" of all time.
The hairstyle, originally associated with Sixties stars such as Mary Quant and Twiggy, beat Aniston's sleek, long Friends cut in the survey.
Her hairdo sparked the biggest hair craze of the Nineties as women flocked to salons to ask for 'a Rachel'.
The Amy Winehouse-style Sixties beehive was third, followed by the 1970s Farrah Fawcett feathered number, as recently imitated by Madonna.
Mia Farrow's ultra-short 'Rosemary's Baby' crop was fifth in the online poll, commissioned by Hair magazine, followed by the heavy fringe worn to the side that Lady Diana Spencer sported when she announced her engagement to the Prince of Wales.
Joanna Lumley's 'Purdey bob' from her period in 'The New Avengers' was seventh.
